Basic Info:

My name is Faith Craver. I am a Daughter, a Grandaughter, a Sister, a Friend, and most importantly a Believer.

As I sit here writing this blog, I have so many past labels that I no longer can identify with, but that is life! I am continuing to grow into the Woman that God so longs for me to be. I am a recently graduated student! I graduated on December 19th, 2014, with my Bachelors of Social Work from Colorado State University. I am a first generation student, and even though I am the fourth child I am the first to graduate college. Once I found Social Work I knew it was where I was supposed to be. I absolutely loved learning about people and communication, and know that God will use my new skills wherever He leads me. I also just moved back to Bailey, my hometown. Bailey is a small town in the mountains. The weather is much to cold for my taste and the town is also much too small. I was in Fort Collins with two of my sisters, my brother and his two kids, and my mother – but now I am a live in Caretaker for my maternal grandparents. I feel blessed that I was able to move away from Fort Collins and help out my grandparents. Time with them has been a precious gift, and as I grow closer with them with every passing day – I know it’ll just make this journey of mine ahead even more difficult.

I have four siblings. One brother, and three sisters. We were all home-schooled by my Mother growing up. My younger sister and I had to be put into public school in 2009 after the economy crashed. My mother had to get a job, and could no longer give us the time needed for homeschooling. I had always wanted to go to public school, be surrounded by people my own age. After one semester I realized that it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. I switched schools so that I would be more educationally challenged, and graduated high school a year early.

I am Driven, Adventurous, Loving, and Enthusiastic. I am so looking forward to this journey ahead, and how it will help me GROW! I love working on myself, and love the surprises God continues to bless me with a long the way.

How I Got Here:

After I went to Africa with my church in 2010, God lit a fire in my heart. A fire that burned with a desire to travel, to see all of the beauty He has created, and a fire to help widows and orphans. I didn’t understand the fire at the time, but it has stayed with me. I am the happiest when I am serving others, and that is what God has called me to do.The Picture below is me with the family I sponsored in Africa. I met them while I was on my trip and I sponsor the little girl in her mother’s arms. I have been sponsoring Esther for almost five years and love the pictures I receive in the mail from her.  I recently got a letter from Esther stating that she wants to be a nurse. That news touched my heart because Esther has a heart for people just like myself. The mothers story touched my heart when I was there, it brought me to tears and I couldn’t leave without doing something. I am so glad I listened to God tugging at my heart!
