How many of you have heard the quote, “The church isn’t a museum for good people, it’s a hospital for the broken?” Although many of us may strongly agree with this, we often fail to remember this and really live it out. If you haven’t heard of the song, Does Anybody Hear Her by Casting Crowns, I strongly encourage you to look it up.
Sometimes attending church can feel like an act; an act that everything is going perfectly fine in your life. But if everything was going perfectly fine in your life, why are you even at church? A church isn’t a place for perfect people to come and say perfect things. It’s a place for imperfect people, sinners and the broken to come and ask God for help. It’s a place for people to fall in love with God all over again. It’s a place where we are reminded that no matter how many times we fail, His mercy still remains and His grace is enough. It’s a place where we can lift our arms high in worship and dance with joy and happiness. We are called to go out and bring people to Christ, regardless of what their past may look like. We are called to love everyone and what better way of doing that, than to show them how amazing and transforming a relationship with God can be! There are so many people running the wrong direction and searching for hope in the wrong things. They need a God who will never fail them, never forsake them and who will love them no matter what mistakes they have made or what they have done! They need a place where they can come and pour their heart out but also a place with a community of people who can lift them up and pray for them. Be a part of a church that brings people to Christ and be a light for Him, shining in the most unlikely and darkest places.
