When we were in India, I wrote Part 1 of this blog post with the full intention of writing the second part soon after. Even though it’s a whole month later, I still wanted to share about a ministry that we came in contact with during our time in India.

We got to spend a week with Comfort of Jesus Church and Ministries where we met Venila. Among the faces that we saw often throughout that week were those of four little boys. Paul Israel first came to know of these boys when he visited an orphanage that was operating way beyond capacity. Although the man who ran the orphanage was well-intentioned, he lacked the resources to be able to provide for the children adequate food, proper education, let alone raise them with the attention and loving discipline that children need. When Paul David came back home to Bangalore, he spoke to his brother, Israel, about a vision that God had given him to start a children’s home. That was when the two brothers visited the orphanage and presented their desire to raise and support a few of the boys who live there.

And that is how Comfort Children’s Home began.

Daily they trust the Lord to provide for their needs as they support these children and raise them up to know and love the God who loves them. They currently do not have any source of regular support or income to pay for the children’s expenses. Visit Paul David’s website to learn more about his ministries, check out pictures of the kids and support them financially.http://www.dunamismission.org

I also had a chance to catch up online with Hudson, another friend we met during our time in India. In the past month, God has placed 6 orphaned street children in his path. He watched one of them as the young boy dug through the trash to find food to eat. After some conversation with the boy and God’s tugging at his heart, they are now living with him in his parent’s home. Please keep him and the children in your prayers as well as he seeks to be obedient to this calling to help support and raise these boys, stepping out in full faith that God will provide for their needs as well.
