It’s time again for a photo blog!! Here’s our past month in (stolen) pictures.

This past month, we were in Vulcanesti, Moldova. (Wine country!! Not quite as pretty when the grapevines look like sticks in the ground.)

There was a bakery close to the church we were partnering with and we couldn’t help but follow our noses. Read more about the time we sang for cake on Natalie’s blog.

I had a great birthday celebration this year. We were all surprised by the fireworks I got on my birthday cake… even the awesome teammates who lit them up.

Part of our ministry for the month was hanging out with kids who came to the church in the afternoons — teaching them about God through stories and songs, and playing games with them.

… and preaching and sharing our testimonies in churches around the area…

… and getting to know some awesome kids and youth at the local park with them where we played music and card games ..

… like Mike and Alina…

… and sharing stories over amazing pastries with awesome babushkas and incredibly generous and hospitable friends like Vova and his family who invite us over for tea.

This month found us living in tight quarters where we learned to truly love each other — the kind of love that ALWAYS protects, ALWAYS trusts, ALWAYS hopes, and ALWAYS perseveres.

At the end of the month we had the chance to visit Odessa, Ukraine. Even in our play times, God shows up in amazing ways to provide for us and to show us that He is with us. Read more about it on Dave’s blog.

We made it to the Black Sea!

We’re heading to Swaziland in a couple hours and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to update next. Much love to everyone at home. Please be praying for us and for Swaziland as we make ourselves available to whatever God wants to do through us. From what we’ve been told, Swaziland is a country that is filled with death and the pain that comes from it because of the AIDS crisis, on top of other BIG issues that we’ll probably learn more about while we’re there. At the same time, God’s hope and light is already there. 🙂 Can’t wait to get there and dive into all that God is doing!
