Here’s some shots from last month.. ๐Ÿ™‚

Home, Sweet, Home! This is where Ma and Pa live and love and serve…

For the first two weeks, we got to spend tons of time with the neighborhood kids since it was their winter break. We did day camps and played tons of games

and hung out at the playground next to Ma and Pa’s.

Some of my favorite peeps. ๐Ÿ™‚

On Fridays Ma would make a huge pot of soup

to share with any of the friends and neighbors who came by.

Ma also watched a couple babies during the day and we loved getting to help look after them. This is my little twin, Baby Faith!

And Pa with our little friend, Enrique… (We got to chase him around quite a bit.)

We had a bunch of opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the Cape, thanks to some amazing new friends who were incredibly hospitable and generous towards us.

It started with a trip to the beach

and watching the sunset from the waterfront.

Then Franklin took us on a hike up Table Mountain. We started out early in the morning just in time to enjoy a breaktaking view of the city lights before starting our ascent.

We saw the sunrise over Devil’s Peak.

After a whole lot of huffing and puffing, we made it to the top!

There were a bunch of cool things to check out at the top (besides the view of course).. like pretty flowers:

and funny little rodents called Dassies:

Our last weekend in Cape Town, Steven and Clive, a couple men from a church we went to, took us on a drive around the cape (and treated us out to fresh fish and chips afterwards!).

We had the chance to meet some phenomenal musicians…

There was also some really cool graffiti at Clark Estate, a group of flats that actually was one of the most dangerous areas close to Ma and Pa’s.

Welp, that’s about it. Not quite a comprehensive picture of our whole month but I hope you enjoyed seeing the beauty of Cape Town! (Both the view and the people..)
