Time runs fast! The fact that I’m gonna be a World Racer becomes more and more real. In 18 days I’ll be at Training Camp in Atlanta. Since some weeks I’m in preparation mode – not only emotionally but also practically: I’ve bought a 65l backpack and now my intention is to get used to wear this 20 kilogram heavy pack on my hips. It’s harder than I imagined it would be. So my ambition is to go jogging more often and to go hiking with the pack.
Further I’m in possession of my first tent. People who know me know also the fact, that I’m not a typically camper. As a family we didn’t go on camping holidays. Happily I went camping two nights with a friend of mine two years ago. Because of that it was important for me to know, that I’m able to pitch a tent on my own. That’s why I pitched my tent at home in the garden. And I managed to put it away in the same volume as delivered – yay!
I’m really excited what expects me at training camp and to meet my squad in real life. All the packets of my ordered stuff on the internet are delivered bit by bit. Every packet brings joy and excitement and gratefulness. Gratefulness concerning the possibilities we have to hold such good and qualitative gear in our hands.
During my preparation time I don’t want to miss to say thank YOU! I had so many touching moments and realized how blessed I am to know YOU! People came to pray for me, donated unexpectedly money, asked how all is going, showed interest on my plans – all these encounters made me feel loved and supported me spiritually. It’s encouraging how God uses people to provide for us!
A BIG THANK YOU FOR THAT!
