Hello Friends and Family,
In the past, I’ve gone on missions to California and Cuba with a group of high schoolers from my youth group. These trips have made a lasting impact on me. In California, I worked with homeless single moms and their kids, ran a vacation bible school, as well as, ministered to the church and its community. In Cuba, I worked on a farm picking mangoes and pineapples and worked with disabled adults and their families. In addition, I was able to minister to the people whose house we were staying at. The Lord has prepared me for my next journey through these experiences.
I am currently involved in Young Life and youth group at a church called Ascent, and I attend Flatirons for church service. This summer I got to go backpacking with Young Life and fell in love with the idea of spending nine months living out of a backpack, traveling, and ministering to different communities around the world.
I’m excited to announce that I will be doing world race gap year! I leave September 1, 2020 and return May 31, 2021. I will be traveling to Guatemala, Ecuador, and Nepal. We will be serving alongside the Adventures in Missions base in various outreach programs, sharing the Gospel alongside our Inca Link Ecuador partners, and doing local ministry with partners in Kathmandu. Our focus will be evangelism, kids ministry, youth ministry, feeding program, teaching english, community outreach and development, children’s ministry, and sports ministry.
During this time, I will be fully reliant on the Lord. I want to go to spread the gospel, love on those in need, travel, have new experiences, make new friends, and further the discovery of my identity. I hope to mature and grow in self confidence. I want to go to show the love of Christ by loving others the way Christ loves us. I want to go to experience the Lord in new ways that I can’t at home and grow my trust and reliance in Him.
I ask for support as I take this leap in faith. If you can support me financially, if not prayer would be greatly appreciated as well. I have to raise $16,000 to make this trip possible. The card included explains how you can help. Follow my journey at eviecorcoran.theworldrace.org. If you have questions my number is 720-202-3115.
