What is love?
(Give you one minute to think)
A husband did one mistake, the wife said that the husband needs to be punished standing in the corner. Then next day, the wife did another mistake, the husband thinks she needs to be punished as well. Then the parents punished their children because they made mistakes, and then children want to punish their parents, and it goes on and on and on… and life is all about that, looking for the other party’s mistake, looking holier than others, trying to be the holiest person, and the list goes on. Is that justice? I don’t think so. So there’s nothing in this world can be called as justice, only God alone is just. We know that God both loving and just. We know that God’s attributes work harmoniously. The idea that justice and love conflicts, is the result of the attributes being defined in isolation from one another. In other words, in order to understand justice, we need to understand God’s love. In order to understand His love, we need to understand His justice.
When God sent His son to this world, who’s in His mind?
Was it Himself?
….. He was thinking about the man, not himself.
Love goes out, it does not go inside.
The direction goes to God. It is about the glory of God.
So when the purpose and direction are about God. We found many ministries, relationships; many other things works easier in unity. It is because they aim for the same objective. When we go for a mission trip, it is because we truly love the people we are serving, not because we wanted to create an extraordinary video and gain funds, it is because we love them truly. We wanted to bless them; we wanted to share the love that God has given to us. It is about the grace of God, it is about God’s love. That’s why people who are going for mission really need to kneel down and pray, to be humble, to not seek their own interest, but God alone. To keep asking God to enable us to love others as God loves us.
God is love.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 ESV
Who are we talking about when we talk about love?
The world tosses around the word love very loosely. Love is often associated with intense feelings that, in truth, are self-centered and noncommittal.
True love, according to the Bible, is rooted in sacrifice, commitment, and an impulse to benefit the loved one.
There’s always sacrifice in love.
God’s love for us took Him to the cross.
Love has to become the foundation of our life.
Love is patient, love is kind.
Paul once said, “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”
The more we grow in grace, the more glory we bring to God.
Filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are to the praise of his glory.
Give more. Love more. Forgive more.
Stop bringing up the past mistakes.
Love teaches us to suffer for him and with him; therefore we may trust that we shall also be glorified with him.
One day, we leave this world just as we entered it – with nothing. In spite of all our work, there is nothing we can take with us. (Ecclesiastes 5:15) For my part, I will be satisfied not to have some great tombstone over my grave but just to know that common people will gather there once I am gone and say, “He was a good man. He never performed any miracles, but he told me about Christ, which led me to know Him for myself.” (L. B. E. Cowman).
We need to practice love.
The words we speak turn into actions and become our way of living.
MISSION TRIP
Thank you for all support and prayers. However, if you choose to give, in prayer and/or financially, I will be forever grateful for your love and support. I really need lots of prayers.
Please pray for not letting the platform take the place of the mission, the spiritual preparation and development of the team, the flexibility of the team, the health, safety, and travel of the team, the spiritual wisdom and loving service of the mission team, the Spirit to open blinded eyes and that unbelievers would see Christ in all of his glory, the spiritual development, strength, and growth of the partner churches and missions that the teams will work with.
