Some people started their blog with a very extraordinary quote, some are really good telling stories. Me? This is my first time to start a blog.
So let’s just start with the mission itself!
In about 2 months I’ll be embarking on a new mission, and I couldn’t be more excited!
THE WORLD RACE
The World Race is a stretching trip to serve “the least of these” while amongst a real and raw community. It challenges the participants to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding about God’s kingdom, and again it’s not about me; it’s about the Kingdom. https://www.worldrace.org/
Every day on the World Race looks a little different. Some days will be packed full with construction, VBS, building relationships with orphans, or praying for the sick at a hospital. Some days could be slower — shopping for groceries at the market, cooking for the team, and spending time praying for the community you walk through. Regardless of the pace or the activity, every day will be focused on being a part of God’s kingdom work. The countries I will be going to are Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, and I going to serve wherever I am needed.

WILL YOU BE A PART OF THIS JOURNEY WITH ME?
I need prayer. A lot of prayers. I need people who will walk through this new adventure with me and be there for moral support. I need love to know that I can do this because it may be the most difficult thing I will ever do in my life. I need to have people who support me because some days I might be so broken down and need that encouragement. I need prayer for my heart to be open and for God to use me in whatever way He wants. I need prayer that my team and I will be safe while serving. I need prayer to discern which one God’s will, which one is not.
I also need to raise $5,000 for The World Race. This includes food, lodging, air, land, and sea travel. It also covers administrative, set up, coaching, debrief, and training costs prior to and at the start of my race. I leave in April and need to have $4,000 raised before I depart. I can continue to fundraise the remaining $1,000 while I am serving on the mission field.
