So today as my family and I had a chill day yesterdy before launch. We walked up to the 17th floor at our hotel and just gazed at airplanes coming and going. I noticed a ladybug crawling up my arm. I immediately was in awe. Thinking on how Being called to do something that not everyone is called to do and calling the unqualified. As people may look at this ladybug and see no significant value they play a important role as a pest eater for someone’s garden or crops. But as this ladybug had no worry about if he was crawling on someone that would slap him down or how far 17 flights would hurt if you fell from that high or where his next meal was going to come from. Should we?
As I got back to my room thinking about that comparison all afternoon Matthew 6 popped in my head to I went to read it and as I read Matthew 6: 25-34 I just sit in awe.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
We should worry just about as much as this little 0.7 inch 02 gram animal. God will never leave us hanging and if we worry do we fully trust Gods work in our life? Or do we put faith in one place and not the other. I knew I was going to be fine with clothes and my medical needs but I was worried about my sleeping environment and not knowing where or what was going to be for supper. Why do we think God will cover us in one area but think He will forget or not notice the other area. No! We should not worry about anything. If we put Him first all of these will fall into place the way God has it. It may look like we could have done it on our on like a farmer might say he grew those crops buy his self but really he had help of the ladybugs along with other animals and advice.
So take advice from a ladybug and see life filled with assurance from God and even though that life moment might not seem right being only that little out of the environment your use to. Still have faith and be worry free about everything. Knowing that no matter what the situation is have faith and assurance that He has what is best for you his plans are FAR more than anything you could imagine.
