Month in review
As we end the month in Costa Rica I want to give a monthly review. As there has been so much going on I wish that we had more time in Costa Rica. But God knows the plans he has for us.

So we started the month out in San José at a AIM base with the hole squad and ended the month in Jaco at a ministry host house then in a hostel. As we did alot of ministry’s in everyone of them has had a deep background, deep presence and move of God and taught me several things.

Proyecto Cion
At this ministry we where working in a really ruff part of San José about 25 minutes away from our base. The church that was there was being build up. There vision was to build a place where the children of that part of town can come and get off the streets. They also have school for discipleship, ministry, leadership and alot more. For ministry was to lay out turf for a soccer field. We where also able to do one prayer walk right outside of the church gates. This family was so beautiful. It was three generations living there grandma daughter and 4 daughters of the mother. As we had to be with a local for them to know that we are okay be be around the neighborhood she told us that we where going due to her not being able to make it to discipleship school. Her 2 daughter was having asthma attacks and they where having to go back and forth to the hospital every week. As we prayed for her and prayed over the hole family. The local just opened up the discipleship books they where working on and we did the last chapters in the book. Speaking on Identity in Christ. As we asked some deep opening questions this woman broke down crying and I saw chains being broken. Later on that week we where at the church with another ministry called Metro ministry and we saw the mother there with her children and that little two year old was running around playing smiling laughing and the mother proceeded to tell the pastor that all of the prayers we gave out helped heal her. This was a blessing !!!!

Metro ministry
This ministry was placed in another part of a bad neighborhood about 30 minutes away. This ministry was fun because we got to play soccer kickball basketball make necklaces and crafts with children. As I met a few children you know my favorite is the outcast. I met this little one name Lucas. Can’t give out to much details but let me just say he has a special place in my heart. The growing up he has had to do the pain he goes through and he still smiled and loved. His faith was so strong in Jesus cause he says that’s the only thing he has. As I made a connection with him he just reminded me to never lost my faith even when everything is crashing down in this world.

Conexion
Wow I could write a hole lifetime about this ministry. Having this small dream from Jesus to such a blessing to what God has blessed them with now. Conexion is a medical ministry that spreads the love of Jesus with many offers. Dental, eyes, general med, pharmacy, nutrition, even a barber, a nail tech and many more with doctors from all around we get to work along side of them. They also love children and at all of there events they have something for children while there parent gets help. We had to opportunity as a team to help with a nutritional talk. There was also a worship concert. That was so filling to the hearts of everyone. During church some of my team did outside ministry with children and continue the medical side. The other team got a chance to work in the women prison which was apart of Conexion as well. That weekend and the hole time in San Jose with these amazing people really made me feel at home. It was an amazing filled full of blessings. I was able to use my diabetes and thank God for it. I meet this wonderful young man named Symon. He had diabetes. As we talked about his A1C and my A1C gave him some tips on how to keep the carbs down and just picking on each other. We grew a bond and just being happy about having another Marvin in my life was such a blessing. Our time together was very short but as he has connected with me through facebook asking me about my monitor. It is a lifelong friendship. This was just a little part of a big ministry.

Ocean Edge
This was another ministry we have been working with the past 2 weeks. Painting light poles and helping with a conference called the IF conference. As we would do some house work in the AM picking up leafs, painting the outside of the house and cutting down dead plants to burn them. Then after lunch we would go out to the light poles in downtown and begin to paint them. We all would have people stop and build relationships and allow them to paint with us. Rebekah and I met two guys one spoke a little spanish and the other one didn’t but he still wanted to paint. As we ministered to them about how God is using his work (they make bread and sweet pastries to help buy homeless people things they need.) They where so happy for the words of encouragement and as our time with them was coming to a end we asked if we could pray for them and we did. Many many people stopped and asked us what we where doing as we painted and we got to plant seeds. One night we had a chance to help with the homeless feeding ministry also put on by Oceans Edge. So a little bit of back story. That morning during quiet time God kept telling me I was going to meet a lady today with flowers on her pants. So I began to pray for that encounter I was going to have that day. As we started our day helping about the house and then we feed the homeless at the end of the night. Long story short. Ryan and I helped serve out beans and rice and as we got to the end of the serving I looked over to see a lady sitting right behind me apart from everyone else. Guess what that lady had flowered pants on !!!!! Just to sit and talk to her and she’s was with her nephew. As brittany was the translator we got to pray over both of them and has been following up with them as they are on the streets while we have been painting light poles. It was very powerful. God is moving around in Jaco coming from only 5 people to almost a 200 person church called horizon church who has been doing alot within the community.

What God has taught me throughout Costa Rica. Fasting. At the beginning of fasting this month it was very hard to do. But everytime I felt hungry everytime I felt like picking up my phone and getting on Instagram or Facebook. I would get on the phone on my bible and learn read his word and dive in to it. Being in that lifestyle has been so great. Anyway God taught me that everything he has called me to fast he has been showing me that everything can be taken away from me. But his heart his love cannot be taken away from me. It’s been such a powerful experience. Just that feeling of every thing and still Gods love remains!

As tomorrow is travel day and we travel to Peru! God placed on my heart this AM during quiet time that next month will be teaching me be still and know. Psalms 46. Its going to be a good month next month because our route was changed and God had been placing us everywhere he wants us to be. We will be staying at a YWAM base helping there.

God is on the move and month three is about to be very challenging with the being still but also have alot of revelations. I cannot wait to see the path that is prepared in Peru next month!!!!!

See yall in Peru!!!!!!
