I know the journey has already begun, but for me, today was the first day of the real journey of depending COMPLETELY on God as far as funds go. Yesterday was my last day at my full time job because I needed more time to focus on the trip and raising the money I need to go. Which is ironic because now I have very limited funds for paying rent and bills from now until July when we all leave. I know that God will provide and if I manage the money I have saved, I should be okay, but I need to depend on God and have faith in Him like I never have before! Its so exciting, but scary at the same time. I have been realizing the last year or so that Christianity isnt something that is supposed to be comfortable. Becoming “comfortable” with an uncomfortable life is a tall task, but even more than my nervousness, I am excited to completely rely on God even if I am not comfortable.

I am happy overall that I will have a lot more free time, because as all of you know, fundraising and getting support letters ready and sent takes way more time than one would think! I feel really far behind, and I barely have any money in my account, so my situation is definitely a blessing from the Lord and a chance to really focus on him, and prepare myself mentally and financially for this trip. So the journey begins!

So I have been thinking a lot about New Years goals, and what I want to accomplish this year. Its going to be a good year I know for sure! There is so much I want to do and if the Lord allows me to go on this trip, there is so much I am going to learn, and experience. Here are some of my new years goals:

1. Climb Half Dome
2. Take a homeless person out for dinner
3. Run 400 miles
4. Bike 1000 miles
 5. Skydive
 6. Read all the books of the Bible I have never completely read through(which is more than I would like to admit!)
 7. Read at least 12 books(which doesnt seem like a lot, but it is for me!)
8. Start writing my book
I also have a few other goals, and Ill be more than happy to share if anyone asks, I just dont want to post them all haha. So does anyone else have some goals for the new year??? If so I really would like to hear them!

Know that you all are often in my thoughts and prayers, and I am super exciting to get to know all of you and spend time with you on this trip!
