Why go? Why should we go somewhere that we have no personal connections with, and do things to help perfect strangers? Why pay money, and give a year to this cause? Simple answer, because Jesus did it for us.
While we were still sinners and the world was in complete chaos God set the stage for the world’s first mission trip. It was a 33 year project perfectly executed by Jesus. He came to this messed up land to give us sinners hope. Now 2000 years later as we follow him and try to be more like him, this seems like a natural reaction. We as christians are called to be christ like. We are called to LOVE! All of us are called to different places to do different things, but we are all called to do the same thing, Love! Some of us are called to love every patient that enters that ER under their watch, others are called to love every coffee drinker that enters their Starbucks, and others are called to love those kids in Mozambique. Right now that is where God is calling me. I know God has big plans for this year and I cant wait to see what he has planned.
The Break Down
• Jesus left his home and came to this broken place.
• He grew in close relationship with people, and brought together a group of 12 people to work together to complete the task.
• He loved people.
• He sacrificed for others.

Here at home I have my family and friends. I am so thankful for all of your words of encouragement! Please don’t stop praying for me! I need all the prayer and support I can get! But this next year I know God is calling me to leave my comfort zone, go make friends with strangers and get into our team. I am called to Love people! I am called to give everything to God and let him work it all out.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! Romans 5:8-9
