Thank You!

Dear Supporters,

There are no words to convey the graduate that I have for your gift to the Kingdom of God!  Over the past 11 months I have traveled to 11 countries and spent time with hundreds if not thousands of people in the name of Jesus.

The work that the Lord did IN me this year is nothing short of a miracle!  He has brought me to a new level of trust in him, and a reliance on him that I have never even imagined.  He is still working!  It is incredible all the little things, and the big things that he has done in me this year just because he loves me, and all of us!  It is awesome!

In accompaniment to the work that he did IN me, he did some pretty incredible things THROUGH me this year also!  My team had the privilege of being used by God in ways that we would read about in the book of Acts!  We saw the sick healed though prayer, we saw the deaf hear, and the blind see.  We had the opportunity to introduce people to their heavenly father, and see their eyes light up when they went from spiritual darkness into the light!  Again, nothing short of miracles!

Here is a quick breakdown of my years ministries that benefited from your gift!

(Jan) Dominican Republic

In the DR we worked with a youth organization, going into schools, loving the kids, and teaching them about Jesus.  We also went though the neighborhoods praying for people, and the city of La Vega.

(Feb) Haiti

In Haiti we were with Mission of Hope.  We worked on their compound building new facilities to enable them to impact the communities in a greater way.  We also went out to those communities, praying for people, and giving people water filters so they can have clean water.

(Mar) Costa Rica

In Costa Rica we worked with Oceans Edge in Jaco.  We spent the month constructing a new building that they will use as a hostel, and outreach.  They will also employ locals to run laundry service to reach out into the community.  We also worked to show the love of Jesus to local businesses who often see the worst of Americans who vacation there.

(Apr) Panama

In Panama we were working with a YWAM base.  We worked a lot on their property doing landscaping.  We also went out into the community a lot and loved people, and prayed with them.

(May) South Africa

In South Africa we worked at a church in Middleburg.  We were working with a decent sized church to start a third service to be their English Service.  We worked a lot in schools during the week, and we did a lot of promoting and prepping for the launch of the English service.  Currently that service is getting attendance close to two hundred people and is still growing!

(June) Lesotho

In Lesotho we were in a very small village called Malealea.  We were walking to other nearby villages and would spend a few hours at a persons home and just help them.  We created friendships and helped with the physical needs, helping with chores.  While meeting the physical need we were talking to them about Jesus, and praying with them.  We also worked at a local school doing manual labor around the school making it better for the kids.

(July) Mozambique

In Mozambique we worked with a South African missionary.  We walked to all the local villages and prayed with people, and when needed we drove them to the hospital to help facilitate medical needs.  We also worked a lot of landscaping in the area.

(Aug) Cambodia

In Cambodia all the men on the squad made a team for one month called Manistry.  We worked with Agape School teaching kids English.  While at the same time showing the love of Jesus.

(Sept) Thailand

In Thailand we worked at Fang School.  It is a government ran non christian school.  We had the privilege of living on property and teaching some of the 1300 students English.  We had a great opportunity to build relationships that allowed us to speak life into them, and tell them a little about Jesus.

(Oct) Malaysia

In Malaysia we had to be careful as it is a closed muslim country.  We were working with a local sports ministry to build relationships with kids through soccer and ultimate frisbee.  We were then able to speak as friends about our respective faiths.

(Nov) Indonesia

Indonesia brought similar challenges as Malaysia.  Caution was needed as we were living in Jakarta, the largest muslim city in the world with over 33 million people.  We built friendships with local people we met around town and though that were able to talk about Jesus.    We were also working in a local Syrian refugee school teaching them English, and loving the people who largely feel unwanted as they look for a new nation to call home.

Over this past year incredible things have happened!  Thank you to everyone who made this year possible for me!  If you gave financially, or supported me in prayer, or in encouragement; thank you!   You were an influential part of making this year happen!

Was that video a little bit of sensory overload?  Like drinking out of a fire hose?  That is how the year felt!  Every day felt pretty long, at times tough.  Then you blink and the month is over.  It was a year of long days and short months!

Before the race I read blogs, and saw videos of people saying that the race was the hardest, and best year of their lives.  In my arrogance I thought they were a little bit wimpy for calling it the hardest year.  After doing it, I can say with ultimate confidence that this year was the HARDEST and the GREATEST year of my life with no close second in either category!  So I will say it again….

THANK YOU!
