My team and I were sitting in an interview session with a few local Indian missionaries. Each of them prepared small presentations accompanied with pictures, and one after another they stood up and smiled, telling stories of God's work in each of their ministries.

One man in particular had quite a lot to share. He spoke about his testimony; from where he was in his lowest state of life to where he is now with Jesus. But one thing was said that caught my attention more than anything else.

The same man, Who's name by the way is Babu, shared an account about his explanation of worship to some former Hindus who just gave their lives to Jesus. The people asked Babu how many coconuts they should bring as an offering to Jesus, and his reply was, "Jesus doesn't want your coconuts, He wants your heart."

It made me laugh of course, hearing that statement. But at the same time it was something I could learn from.

"My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways." (Proverbs 23:26)

This is the Father's heart towards you. He put sin to death through Jesus so that we would have access to Him as a holy people, no longer sinners but sons and daughters of the most high King. Children, now able to have exchanges in love between themselves and the God of the universe.

I'm fully convinced that God wants us to live in His love for us. In doing that, we will then love Him and live how we're supposed to live.

"We love, because He fist loved us." (1 John 4:19)

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

Understanding more of how God loves you and living in it solves so many other problems. It brings freedom.

"10,000 lesser problems are solved when we come to a right understanding of God." (A.W. Tozer, Knowledge of the Holy)

I think when we focus on God, we enter into a place of living in the love of God like never before. When we look to Him, giving our hearts to Him, there's an entrance into a place of destiny for the children of God. Ministry, praying, reading your Bible or whatever other good religious things are now byproducts of that place of giving your heart to God. They come from the outflow.

"They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed." (Psalm 34:5)

Your Father wants you to live in His love first and foremost. The greatest offering you could ever give to God is your heart. He doesn't want your coconuts, He wants you.
