Long time no blog!
I hope this finds you well wherever you are right now. I know how crazy this year has been. I mean last time I posted a blog I was in Thailand about head to my last country of the race, which was Nicaragua! Unfortunately, as you know, we got sent home early.
So what have I been doing since being back in the states you may ask.
Well, I’ve been living in Gainesville, Georgia for about 3 months now. And for all of you who don’t know I’ve been attending a program called Center for Global Action (more commonly known as CGA) which is specifically designed for alumni world racers where we get to learn more about ourselves & how to lead ourselves well, coming closer and closer to the Fathers heart and in turn learning the skills to lead and steward others well. I’d consider CGA one of the hardest yet most rewarding seasons of life thus far. I’ve been stretched and pushed out of my comfort more than ever before. And I really feel like I’ve grown into myself. Also I’m once again surrounded by an amazing group of people. I live in a house with 5 other alumni racers as well as 2 amazing women of God who have been our house mentors and let me tell you there is never a dull moment (and, no, I don’t get tired of living in community…. for the most part ;)). I’ve also gotten to get a job to support myself and also implement these leadership skills in the work place!
And now for the super exciting life update (!!!!) i know you’ve all been waiting for……
*drumroll please*
IM GOING BACK TO NICARAGUA!!!! I have been given the amazing opportunity to alumni team lead for a squad that launches in January!!! I’m really excited to get to use & develop the leadership skills we’ve been learning about here in CGA! Also what a gift from Abba that I get go back to a country and ministry I fell in love with so quickly!
All this being said…
I’m still fundraising!!! And I need to be fully funded for CGA before I can start fundraising for this new trip!
I still have $1,555 to raise to be fully funded for CGA so that my class and I can go to Louisiana to partner with Samaritans Purse for disaster relief in early December!! After I’m fully funded for that my next fundraising goal is $3,000 for my team leading trip and our goal is to be fully funded by December 31st! It would be awesome if you prayed about partnering with me financially!!
Thank you all for your support in this amazing journey the Lord has taken me on thus far, I’m excited to continue to share this journey with y’all!
All my love
E 🙂
