Romania
was a special month for me. It brought me back to when I first
accepted Jesus and tried to just boldly tell everyone about Him. I
got put into the street evangelism group a lot, which is nerve
racking but rewarding. Throughout my time there, I personally saw
over 10 people receive Jesus through conversations I had randomly
starting in the town square. Many more potentially, but it is
sometimes hard to tell whose heart is really in it or not. Also
through the kids camp we put on and the clothing ministry to the poor
gypsy communities, over 30 kids/parents put their faith in Jesus.
This month was a catalyst for me. The bible says, "some plant
the seeds, some water, but it is God who brings the growth." I
know there is nothing special about me or our group, but it is always
so encouraging to see the growth. Romania is a cold and depressing
place, with under 1% Christianity. Although we had an amazing month
of fruitful ministry, I know it was only the beginning and that is a
place were the "harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few."
Simply,
as a team we are just trying to say yes to Jesus, trusting that His
plan and His thoughts are higher than ours. The first month in Serbia
was not visibly fruitful but we were saying 'yes' knowing God had
called us there for a time. Although our 2nd month (Romania) was
fruitful, it is not about what we do or do not see. It is about being
obedient and trusting God will use that to bring glory to Himself
according to His will. My challenge for whoever is reading this, what
is God wanting you to say 'yes' to this week? Take a moment and ask
Jesus to show you what He desires. Once you have done this… are you
willing to say Yes to Jesus?
