OK, I promised several of yal two things: That I would post a picture of “the final product”–me & my packs; and that I would let you know any opportunity to send letters/mail to me. Well, this post is a 2-for-1! 🙂 Plus bonus deal of travel arrangements.
Love yal.
Please pray for our safety as we travel the next few days and for our families to be encouraged. Thanks!
1) Travel begins Tuesday June 5: Fly from East TN to Atlanta, to London (12 hour layover to switch airports, sightseeing along the way), to South Africa. Then it’s approx. 5 hr drive to Swaziland.
2) Pack Pic So here’s me wearing my pack & day bag. The tent is stuffed inside, along with my sleeping bag, a mat, a sheet, medicines, toiletries, and clothes. Notice my shoes, tent poles, & pillow on the outside. Also, the black square thing unzips to be a duffle bag to protect my pack during international air travel.

3) Mail to Africa!
Already? Yes! 🙂 Letters & packages can be mailed to the Racers while they are in Africa. DO NOT send any valuables through the mail and clearly state a $0 value for the package. Note that it is a gift with no commercial value. This helps avoid taxes through customs. Packages must
arrive no later than July 30 – allow extra time than what the postal service tells you.
I know I’m barely out the door, so have no fear, I hear there MAY be more opportunities to send letters/mail in the future. AIM will also post information on
prayers.theworldrace.org, so please check that website regularly or sign up for updates from that site. I will also try to post info on my blog whenever I hear of opportunities (as I promised!).
The address is for mail
arriving before July 30:
