Before I leave East TN, I wanted you to see it through my eyes.  Each time I drive by these mountains, I stare in awe of God’s majesty.  Yes, I lived in WA where the mountains are bigger, and in MN where the lakes are plentiful.  But East TN has its own beauty of rolling, green hills/mountains.  Here’s a picture.

About the culture:  My parents live in a town where they have Music on the Square every Friday night.  Locals bring camp-chairs to the Courthouse to listen (and sometimes dance) as bands play.  Oh, and the Courthouse still displays the 10-Commandments (a blessed victory in recent years).  Also, last weekend, the local Wal-Mart had a Gospel band playing in the parking lot.  Churches are located on every streetcorner.  And so are banks, oddly enough.  Rush hour traffic… non-existant.  And people know all about you before you even meet them.

Some of you may (& have) ask(ed):  Do I like East TN better than MN, or WA, or MD, or Memphis, or…   Answer:  I don’t think that’s the question; I’m just appreciating the beauty & surroundings the Lord has given me at this time.  A quality trait He built within me during my MB years, and that He’ll continue to use & stretch in me during the World Race.
