Hey yal, just a quick note to say I’m in Cambodia now.  After a few bus rides that totaled 16 hours, we traveled from Bangkok to Phnom Panh (Cambodia’s capital).  We will be staying here for a few weeks, working with a local church.

We were given a city tour, seeing the killing fields and prison sites of the late 70’s…Crazy to think that all happened so recently.  I knew very little about Cambodia until about a day before coming here.  Cambodia is a very “heavy” and “hard” place, spiritually bound, and still healing from its recent war-torn history.  1998 was the first year of peace here in over a few decades.  But the people are great– super friendly, smiling.

I need to be brief, as it is getting dark out so I need to leave.  But I wanted yal to know I was alive and well.   I hope to blog a lot in these next few weeks, since most likely November and December will be very limited in blogging, as we head to a closed country.  However, please note, Cambodia’s internet connections are VERY SLOW, coming in a close second to Swaziland’s worst connection.  So please have patience as I’m behind on emails and such.  And keep the encouraging emails and prayers coming.  It’s very much needed!  Thanks yal, and many blessings!
