Working with Huay Pasang school in Mae Sao Tambol, Thailand!
Lunch time!
I decided to teach the most important things first…
Some of my precious kiddos.
Learning some words in Thai!
Crowned with grass tiaras, rings and bouquets of love everyday!
We each taught English classes for three periods a day and then the tables were turned and we had music lessons once a week.
Learning to play some pretty amazing instruments!
We also had Thai dance class a few times a week.
Even learned how to tie cool Thai pants!
Opening ceremony at the Temple our school was next to! (See my blog: Buddhists encounter the Creator of beauty!)
Play time!
The closest to a horse I could find!
My class learning their letters and numbers.
On one of our off days, our hosts took us to an Elephant Park with special ‘team shirts’.
So fun!!
Elephant kisses.
Testing out the whole long neck thing…
We even got to float down the river on a bamboo raft.
I was able to spend the day with a family from my home church who just moved to Chiang Mai to be long term missionaries!
They spoiled me and my team by not only leading us in a prayer walk through the Red Light District, taking us to their ministry house and giving us some Human Trafficking training, but they also took us to a cafe for lunch where you eat in the creek bed!
They also took us to Elephant Falls.
Such an incredible day which God orchestrated for more reasons than one!
I was able to finish out the month of Thailand with an all day hike and mountain bike trek on a mountain outside of Chiang Mai.
We survived the single track runs that only a few from the group were allowed to do. Too much fun!!
Another amazing way to experience a bit of Thailand.
We had dinner on a lake
Which was the perfect ending to a perfect day
as well as the perfect ending to an incredible month in.
Saying goodbye is always the worst part…
…but the memories and people hold a special place in my heart. God is moving in Thailand and it has been incredible to be a part of His hand at work.
