As most of you might already know, I am completely humbled and honored to be leading an absolutely stunning team of girls for at least the first few months of the race this year. After getting to know these girls a little more at training camp, I am so blown away with how beautiful they are inside and out!

They have a heart for the Lord, are passionate, adventurous, faithful, and I am SOOO excited to be able to do ministry alongside of them in the coming months!

A little about our team name – we decided we wanted to choose a name that describes who we are, as well as who we want to become and what we would like to grow in this a year.

One of the first traits we recognized in our team is joy. When we are together, we cannot stop laughing and smiling! To me, Radiance is not only joy that is evident in someone, but it is emanated and contagious to everyone around them. My team literally radiates the joy of Christ!!

Boldness is what we want to grow in this year. We want to be Bold in sharing the love and light of Christ; bold in overcoming fear and challenges; bold in our relationships and engaging with the divine appointments God places in our lives; more than anything, we want to be bold in the calling that God has placed on each of our hearts this year.

So without further ado, I present my incredible team…Bold Radiance! 🙂

Courtney Knoff – aka CK

When I think of this amazing girl, I just can’t help but smile! On top of her high energy and contagious laugh, CK has a tender heart for people! When we were in the first team formation together, I was immediately drawn to her…she is just plain fun!! She approaches any task with enthusiasm and a joyful spirit. In the midst of challenges, this girl finds the positive and I know she is going to keep our team constantly laughing and enjoying life to the fullest!!

Courtney Tuttle – aka Cuttle

Seeing as we have two Courtney’s on our team, we have officially dubbed our little Courtney as ‘Cuttle’! This not only works with her last name, but I love this nickname because it sounds exactly like the word cuddle and honestly, whenever I’m around Cuttle, I just want to hug her – she is just so ridiculously lovable!! From the first time she was accepted to the race and we unofficially met on Facebook, there was something about her that I was drawn to. She has a genuine heart to be in the center of God’s will and I am excited to see how God not only works in her life this year, but how He will work in mine through this incredible girl!! She brings so much joy to my heart!

*As a side note, please pray for healing for Courtney who sprained her ankle at training camp and is dealing with torn ligaments, crutches and a cast…on top of everything else involved with launching in two weeks!

Danielle Anchondo – aka D

Talk about a small world! When D first joined our F squad facebook group, I realized we had a mutual friend. Come to find out, the current youth pastor at my home church was also Danielle’s youth pastor growing up in CA! That was not the only connection I had with this beautiful girl…even though we hardly talked one on one at training camp until team formations, there was something about her that I loved. Aside from the fact that she is our team treasurer (and I am sooo thankful for masters in the finance realm! haha), she also has a sincere interest in others. She is an amazing listener and notices everything and everyone around her. I have already gained so much from knowing this girl and am soo excited to continue to learn from her compassion and love for people!

Elizabeth Frantti – aka Lizzie

When I try to describe Lizzie to people I just say, ‘Well she’s pretty much just like me except she doesn’t ride horses…she plays golf!’ Haha Lizzie and I hit it off at training camp and were beyond ecstatic to end up being on the same team together! Due to her positive outlook and desire to constantly learn and grow, I already know Lizzie will challenge us to go deeper in more ways than one this year. She has a big heart with a fiery spirit and I am pumped for the adventures that lie ahead with this spontaneous, funny, and courageous girl!

Isabella Strafaci – aka Bella

One of the first things I noticed about Bella is that she has a lot of wisdom. I have a feeling she is going to open my eyes to see things in a new perspective and I am so thankful to have her discernment as a part of our team! When I look at her, I see the light of Christ shining from her eyes. On top of her desire to be real, Bella is also extremely funny in a quiet and nonchalant sort of way which makes her even more hilarious!! She is an encourager and genuine. I can’t wait to experience the friendship of this girl on a deeper level!

“Arise, Jerusalem (team Bold Radiance)! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you. All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.” Isaiah 60:1-3 (NIV)
