There is a picture of the Gordon family crest in our house which also bears the motto for the “Gordon” name. It is…

All for One and One for All!!!

This is a strikingly accurate description of my family.

To get to know me a bit better, you have to know a little about my family because they are such a huge part of who I am!

I thought it would be fun to introduce my family in order and explain some of the ways they have shaped me to be the person I am today.

If you already know the Gordon clan on a personal level, you may be entertained more thoroughly by the copious amount of pictures! 😉 Enjoy!!

~Andrew Gordon~

Although there are many individuals I can easily attest to having great influence over me, there are fewer who I say with confidence,

“I would literally not be the same person today if I did not have that person in my life!”

Andrew is one at the top of that list.

When I think of Andrew, I cannot help but laugh…I just laugh. Because that’s the effect Andrew has on me!

“There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”

– Charles Dickens

Andrew constantly keeps me laughing! He has the best sense of humor and brings so much joy to my heart!

It’s amazing how much I look up to this little brother of mine!

Watching Andrew over the years, I’ve learned how there is great strength is silence.

He’s taught me what it means to ‘chill out and enjoy the ride!’

One of the things I really admire in Andrew is his passion.

He’s passionate about always growing and being exactly who God created him to be.

Not only does he have strength of character…

…but he has unbelievable physical and mental strength as well!

The amount of self-discipline he possesses is sometimes maddening! haha  (At least to those of us who have to actively work on discipline!)

I love how Andrew has such a kind heart. He will do the smallest of tasks, (no matter how insignificant), just by knowing it is important to the another person.

Usually he throws in his own “Jack Sparrow” twist and turns it into a grand adventure…

…because…well, why not? What fun is anything in life without adding a little epic flair?

Andrew has shown me what it means to be confident in yourself.

When I try to explain Andrew to others, the first thing I always say is, he is quite literally the funniest person I have ever met!

He brings out a side of me that somehow just translates into goofiness.

We have this special connection that most people just shake their heads at…but we don’t care…we simply smile at each other and do our secret handshake.

He truly knows how to embrace every opportunity and make it fun.

He is the king of confidence, spontaneity, and crazy!!!

“We don’t laugh because we’re happy – we’re happy because we laugh!”   William James

Andrew embraces every circumstance with his humorous wit and esprit.

A typical day in the Gordon household looks somewhat like this: me laughing at Andrew’s bizarre antics, Bliss wondering what on earth is so funny, Paige and Joseph in the background arguing over something insignificant and Houston….well no one knows where Houston is…probably getting something useful done! (This was at Houston’s high school graduation, so he was in fact being productive!)

I honestly do not know what kind of person I would be if it weren’t for having this amazing man of God as one of my incredible brothers!

He makes the joy of Christ come to life for me in more ways than one.

I could of course go on about how great Andrew is, but honestly you may just have to meet him in person to understand! 😉

I close with a smile and a laugh, thinking about my impetuous, hilarious, effervescent, and contagious brother!

I love you bro!!!
