There is a picture of the Gordon family crest in our house which also bears the motto for the “Gordon” name. It is…
All for One and One for All!!!
This is a strikingly accurate description of my family.
To get to know me a bit better, you have to know a little about my family because they are such a huge part of who I am!
I thought it would be fun to introduce my family in order and explain some of the ways they have shaped me to be the person I am today.
If you already know the Gordon clan on a personal level, you may be entertained more thoroughly by the copious amount of pictures! 😉 Enjoy!!
~B~
aka Bliss Gordon
This is my one and only sister – aptly named because she is my bestie and the joy of my heart!!
Bliss is the oldest of the six of us, although I always make fun of her saying she may be older, but I’m still taller! 😉
Those who know B will attest that she is small in stature but huge in heart!!!
She is passionate about her faith, family, the outdoors, and writing! Since I am not the exquisite author she is, it is hard to explain how much my sister means to me with a limited amount of space, but I will do my best.
Ever since we were little, I’ve always looked up to my big sis.
It was through her example that I began the journey of walking closely with Jesus Christ at a young age.
She has always been there for me, through thick and thin…whatever life’s circumstances have thrown at me!

People sometimes combine our names and call us Blister…we answer to either.
I learned the importance of quality time through B…whatever we may be doing, we have fun doing it together.
We are usually always found in the middle of an adventure…
…in one way or another!
I learned in a real way through my seestur to, “Enjoy the little things, for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.”
(Robert Brault)
B has taught me what it means to pour into people.
I’ve learned through her, that when you help others accomplish an ‘impossible task’, you assuredly take them a step closer to the feet of Christ.
I’ve learned leadership skills through my sister…
…who is now a pastor and the leader over children’s ministry at our church (this was the night of her ordination!).
I’ve learned in the midst of life, that sometimes you just have to engage in your creative skills and be thankful for what you have. (Yes, she IS making a quesadilla with an iron! And yes, it DID work!!).
Most of the time, people think we are kinda crazy…
…but we obviously don’t care.
That’s the best part about having a sister!!
To have someone who would travel around the world with you/to see you…
…someone you build irreplaceable memories with…
…someone who supports you, loves you unconditionally, and points you to the face of Jesus…
…now THAT is a special someone!!!
That special someone is my one and only Bliss…
one who I feel spoiled to have in my life,
one who I constantly give thanks for,
one who inspires and
encourages me
everyday
I love you Seestur!!!
I must close with parts of the song (from the movie, White Christmas) that B and I sing all the time:
Sisters, sisters,
there were never such devoted sisters.
All kinds of weather, we stick together, the same in the rain or sun.
Two different faces, but in tight places, we think and we act as one.
Those who’ve seen us,
know that not a thing can come between us.
Many men have tried to split us up but no one can.
Lord, help the mister, who comes between me and my sister
and Lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man!!
