My apologies that this blog is a week late, but I have wonderful news! I MET MY FIRST FUNDRAISING GOAL!! Thank you so so so very much to each of you that helped me get here! I honestly have no words to show my gratitude. We have raised $5,000!!! I still can’t quite wrap my head around it. You have been so generous in your giving and I am truly speechless.
Now that we’ve made it this far, I want to invite you into the next part of this journey. Here we go!
1. Training Camp — in less than two weeks my squad, along with four other squads leaving in January, will meet up in Gainesville, GA for 10 days of training. This will be the first time that I get to meet my squad and leaders in person! I am nervous, excited, scared, and thrilled all at the same time. Will you pray with me about training camp? We will face many physical, mental, and spiritual challenges during these next few weeks. But God is greater than any obstacle we face! I also have a wish list of items that I need before training camp and leaving in January. If you’re interested in gifting me with any of these items, you can find that list here.
2. My house — as of right now, while I’m writing this blog, my house has not sold. Frustration doesn’t begin to cover it friends. When I started this house selling process, I just knew that God would sell my house within the first week so everyone would see exactly how He planned for me to serve on the World Race. Obviously those were my desires and not His. As I have said many times to anyone who asks, I know there is a lesson in this waiting season. And He’ll reveal that to me in His time. For now, I will keep trusting that His will is perfect and His ways are higher than mine for a reason. Will you pray for my house to sell? That God will send the buyer and that we can decide on a selling price that works for both our needs?
3. Next deadline — my next fundraising goal of $10,000 is due December 16th. When I return from training camp I will begin my next fundraiser and you’re not going to want to miss it! I’ll give you a hint: it will either be really annoying or hilarious! {all the laughing emojis}
4. LAUNCH! — you keep asking when I leave and here it is….MY BIRTHDAY!!! On January 12th, I’ll go to Atlanta, GA to spend a few more days of training and then officially leave for AUSTRALIA! P.S. I still can’t believe this is real!
So as you can see, things are getting intense! I covet your prayers during this time of uncertainty and preparation. I know that my God will supply every need according to His riches in glory (Phil.4:19)! I am just so stinkin’ excited to have you partnering with me on this amazing journey that I am unworthy of.
