I turned 19 this past thursday. It was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. My team and some of the leadership women took me out for pizza. It was amazing. We had a lot of fun talking while we ate. After pizza, my team took me out for ice cream. It was sweet…….pun intended.
Rachel, Malia, Hannah, Abby, Rissa, and my leaders Rachel and Alexis, blessed me all day long. They immediately set out to find a pizza place when they found out that it was what I wanted, told me they loved me, and they just spent the day with me. I can’t express how much I loved my birthday and my team.
That night during session, Rissa got up and asked the Squad to pray for me and speak out anything they heard God say for me. I was given so many loving and encouraging words.

There were so many more than I can list. I had never felt more loved by my squad and by God. Friendship has been one of the greatest gifts I’ve discovered on the Race. October 11, 2018 was a great day.
