If you had told me that I would feel called to step away from one of the biggest dreams I’ve ever had, I would tell you you were crazy.

I would tell you how long I’ve dreamed of this day. How ecstatic I was to have been accepted, and that I was *living my dream*.

But, you would be right. I would feel called to step away. Life happens and sometimes we have to put our big dreams on hold because it’s just simply not the right time in our lives for it to happen. God says “wait.”

And then He leads you to something that you can already tell is going to be so sweet and perfect for the season that you are in.

***If you’re confused because I’m being vague, let me break it down for you :

I committed to The World Race (11n11) in April, and around August I silently began to struggle with if God was calling me somewhere else, or if I was just nervous about doing the Race.

After a lot of prayer and some serious chats with close friends of mine, I decided that changing to a shorter route was what was best for me right now. And I could feel God’s hand over it all.

And so here I am! On a World Race Semesters route that leaves January 24th to go to Costa Rica and Nicaragua for 3 months. Meeting my new team, getting excited all over again. I feel more confident of it every day. And I’m feeling so much support through it all.

So. If you’re feeling like a big dream you once had, or still have, is being put on hold… don’t be discouraged. Maybe God just has something better in store for you that you can’t see yet.
