Something that I was hoping to experience on the World Race was miracles. When I first had the expectation that I would experience miracles, I expected big, wild miracles. I expected to see people healed and the blind to see. And while I fully believe that those miracles do happen and that I will experience them in the Lord’s timing, I personally just haven’t experienced those kinds of miracles yet.
But, I have experienced miracles. The ministry I am working at is a miracle, made up of many miracles.
Miracles such as:
The fact that 20 people can work efficiently in a kitchen the size of my grandma’s.
The fact that around 250 people are fed nutritious and home-cooked meals when the amount of food seems like it would only feed 100.
The fact that the 20 people in the kitchen can somehow communicate effectively through bits and pieces of Spanish/English and hand motions.
The fact that around 60 children can fit into two small classrooms and somehow receive the gospel despite the chaos and language barrier.
The fact that money seems to stretch way farther than humanly possible.
So yah, this past week the Lord has been reframing how I view miracles. They aren’t always big huge events, sometimes they are just the little things that add up to one beautiful occurrence.
