Some fun in the sun…at the beach

Team Remnant decided to take our first day off in Tanzania and make a little trip down to the beach. Where we are living is only a few kilometers from the ocean so we rented a Dalla Dalla (small van) and took a trip down to a local resort to spend a day basking in the sun, swimming in the Indian Ocean and bonding with our team and our new Tanzanian friends and contacts. The day was a lot of fun and even though my camera was unfortunately lost to the Nile River in Uganda, I snagged some pictures from Jessica to post for you all to see.

 

 

 

 

 

 Here are some photos of the beautiful blue water and white sand beaches and our little huts that we spent the day under. The water was really warm and despite an abundant amount of seaweed we still spent several hours body surfing and swiming in the waves.

We are “glowing” after a day in the sun but all very content!
