Hola from Nicaragua! I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve written a blog but here is a quick update on what we’re up to now that we have made it to Nicaragua!

We spent the first few days of the month debriefing and resting in Granada and then headed off to Chinandega! This month, my whole squad of 46 is working together with an organization called Vision Nicaragua who partners with local churches and pastors to help bring the Gospel through kids ministry, door to door evangelism, and medical clinics. Our squad has been split in half for the month and each half is sent to a different location each day. We have spent time playing with children in local parks and schools, helping to hand out medication at the medical clinics, present the gospel and pray for locals as we go door to door, and also run church services where we lead worship, share personal testimonies and bring a message.

This month has been stretching for all of us in so many ways! Learning to do daily life and ministry with 46 other people has been a new challenge, not to mention the fact that door to door evangelism was completely new for most of us! Through all of it, God has been working in so many wonderful ways, both big and small. I can say that I have seen Him at work every single day that we have been here and while this month is full of so many challenges and so much newness, I am thankful for the ways that I have felt the Lord inviting me to grow while also faithfully loving me through it all.

A phrase that He has been speaking over me for the past few weeks has been, “it is covered.” He has covered my discomfort, my fear, my homesickness, and all of my failures. And the things that He has covered never become uncovered. It is so crazy knowing that I am coming to the end of month 2 already and as I look forward, I feel slightly overwhelmed that there are still 9 months left but so excited and expectant for the things I know the Lord is going to do and also to see Him continue to work on the things He has already begun! Our wifi this month is scarce but I am hoping to have a few blogs towards the end of the week with some amazing stories from the past week of ministry!
Thank you all so much for the continued love and prayers! I am so thankful for you all and for your support and can’t wait to share more with you later this week!
