I’ve been home in South Carolina for about a month now and I wanted to take a minute to first of all thank you for your support this year and also to update you on where I am heading next! This past year on the Race has been by far one of the hardest things I have ever done! There were times that I thought I wouldn’t make it to the end. But through it all, the Lord continued to lead me and encourage me to continue pushing forward. One huge way that He did that was through you all, my supporter family. I can’t tell you all enough how much your sweet emails, comments, and prayers meant to me this year. It was often hard to respond or tell you thank you in the moment due to a lack of internet, but please know that your support truly meant the world to me! There were many times where I would receive one of your comments or hear from a family member that you were consistently praying for me and that meant more than you know. I could never have made it through this year without your prayers and encouragement and I can’t thank you enough!

Additionally, many of you gave financially over the past 11 months and all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you! There is no way that I could have even left the States without your support and I am so grateful that you believed in the Lord’s work enough to want to support me in this way!

As I said in my previous blog, life, lessons, passions, and dreams continue even now that the Race is over. Over the course of this year, God has continued to grow passions and dreams within me for the future and I am so excited for this next journey stateside! Right now, I am living at home in Charleston and nannying for a precious family in the area. I am able to transition back into having a consistent schedule while also having a ton of fun with some sweet kids! In January, I will be starting back to college here in Charleston, to pursue a Nurse Practitioners degree! This year, God really cemented this desire on my heart as I was able to witness first hand the reality of foreign healthcare, specifically for underprivileged, immigrant, and lower class individuals. My hope and dream is to eventually return to Thailand full time and minister to these individuals by providing medical care and education that will hopefully allow them to better care for themselves, their families, and their futures. Be on the look out for a future blog that will go more in depth with the vision and dreams the Lord has given me following college!

I am continually in awe of how God has provided for this next season in the States! Not only has he given me the perfect work and home situation for right now, but He has also made it possible for me to live with one of my closest friends from the Race in January! I will be moving downtown and renting an apartment with her and we are both so excited for this next step following the Race!

I think for now, that is all of the updates that I have to share! While coming home has been a fairly easy and exciting transition, I am still sorting through so many of the stories and lessons from this year. There are so many things that I want to share with you all now that I have the time and internet to do so! However, this will be my last post on my World Race blog! If you would like to read future posts and hear more about this past year and the years to come, feel free to click< HERE> to follow my personal blog.

Again, thank you to every single one of you who has supported me through prayer, finances, encouragement, or even just reading my posts! Thank you a million times over! Know that you are deeply loved and treasured by me and my family and I can’t thank you all enough!

Blessings and much love,

Erin
