Hello friends, family, and anyone else who has stumbled across this blog!
I suppose I should take this time to tell you all a little about myself and how I ended up on this crazy journey!
This past summer, I traveled to Swaziland, Africa for two months with a Passport team through AIM and God completely changed my world! I had grown up in a Christian home, attended a Christian school and went to church each week but I had felt like something was missing in my life. While I was in Africa, God lit my heart on fire! I saw and experienced things that I never thought I would see and I knew that I was forever wrecked for the normal. God opened my eyes to the way that He sees me and to the desires and passions that He has placed on my heart.
About halfway through my trip to Africa, I felt God calling me away from returning for my sophomore year of college. This was a huge step but the more I prayed and struggled and wrestled, the more I knew that this was exactly what God had for me. I stepped away from college and the doors started to open. God has blown me away with the opportunities that He has placed in my life since I made that decision! One of these opportunities being the World Race! My heart wants to burst when I think about the amazing things God is going to do though this journey! I know what He did in my life in the course of just two months overseas and looking back, all I want is more!
