Worship in the jungle
They came from villages near and far. Some traveled kilometers and some from across the street. They arrived by motorbike, pushcart, bicycle and on foot. They all traversed the long dirt road past expansive fields of rice and other produce to a small village tucked among the trees.
Leaving their chosen modes of transport in he dust, both literally andfiguratively, they walked the steps to the church ready to praise the Lord.
Here in the upper room, of a building in the sky and level with the jungle canopy they came for a unified purposes. Acoustic strummings marked the start of a universal desire to worship the most high.
Funny how the universal sign to worship god is to hold your hands high…often taken as a sign of submission or surrender or better yet, I come in peace, I humbly surrender.
Cambodian. American. English. Khmer. All are the citizens of the kingdom speaking in the tongues of heaven. In this beautiful harmony they worship their God.
I guess that is what I have determined this crazy thing we call he world race to be. It is about the discovery that we are all one. One body. One way. One god. One vision. One spirit. All unified under the most high.
