Life is forever evolving and once we stop learning that is when we truly stop living. Here are some very important things I have learned in that past few weeks that I would like to share with you…..
1. 1.) Living across the street from a chocolate factory is always a smart life decision. When that factory begins to manufacture Tootsie Rolls, this sweetens the deal.
2. 2.) When alone on a wooded trail, do not stop your run in the middle of a random area filled with a variety of jungle cat sculptures. The creator of said sculptures is not always friendly.
3. 3.) If you are ever locked inside a Starbucks after hours because a Barista forgets to tell you they are closing do not panic. The doors only lock from the outside. You are free to leave at any time.
4. 4.) While pushing a 600 pound patient in a wheel chair, it is always best to do so at a slight lean with large lunging steps. You will cover more ground this way and your back will hurt less.
5. 5.) If given the choice between getting a massage and getting paid over time…choose the massage.
6. 6.) Although a driver gives you the “go-ahead wave” to cross the street does not mean the driver backing out of their driveway acknowledges your existence. This situation may or may not end with you being struck by a slow moving vehicle.
7. 7.) Portuguese and Spanish are similar, but not the same. If you speak Spanish to a confused, 90 year old, Portuguese woman, she might spit at you and slam the door in your face.
8. 8.) Don’t try to be sassy and win a round of bowling by only 1 pin, you are bound to lose…to your mother.
