Here are some things you never knew about me…and will probably wish you still didn’t know.
1. Once upon a time, I was pulled over by boarder patrol in Arizona while transporting a 12 pound apple pie across state lines.
2. I love birthdays because they are a great excuse to give people gifts.
3. I have lost track of the number of bones in my body I have broken.
4. My biggest fear is becoming the lady who is 80 years old, owns 30 cats and is known as the neighborhood witch.
5. 90% of the time I wear my socks inside out. I think they are more comfortable that way.
6. Snow is my favorite part of winter.
7. I am allergic to red dye and love kool-aide. Its a cruel world.
8. One day my sister blamed me for a raccoon digging through our trash can. Later that night I used bottle rockets to shoot all her Barbie’s off the roof. I didn’t get in trouble…because my parents never found out. Until now.
9. With spot on accuracy I can quote you the entirety of The Shawshank Redemption.
10. At 7 I thought I would be funny and stick a key in a socket at the YMCA after my mom told me not to….it didn’t end very well for me, or the socket involved.
11. My hair used to change color naturally, now it needs product assistance
12. I never travel with out my camera.
13. In college, I traded a transvestite couple who was moving to Amsterdam a remote control Corvette for a bedroom furniture set. I then had to take a chest-of-drawers on the T in Boston.
14. I’m learning to like black coffee.
15. I have had 5 near death experience. I never saw a white light.
16. I only listen to country music when I am homesick.
17. My life should be a reality show and will be as soon as MTV sees the trailer I sent them.
18. A street gang member once cut of the head of my favorite stuffed dog and left it in a box on my door step. I have not owned a stuffed animal since.
19. American Idol winner Jordon Sparks used to go to my church. I once sang with her in a Christmas special. Now she is a millionaire and I, according to my dad, couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket.
20. I have lived in more states than most people have been to on vacation.
21. I have been to a Hotel that employs a Duck Master to march a flock of ducks in and out of the lobby fountain at 9am and 5pm daily. The ducks live in a penthouse on the roof.
22. Giraffes are my favorite animal. I feel I can relate to their awkwardness.
23. At a basketball game in 10th grade a girl in the bathroom (in reference to me) said “dang that white girl’s got a bigger butt than you Chantelle.” I took it as a compliment.
24. I was a figure skater for three years. I was cast as Miss Hawaii in our “Skate across the Universe” pageant. Ironically, I was, and still am, a white kid with red hair and green eyes.
25. I taught myself how to swim after ankle surgery last year watching YouTube videos of Michael Phelps. I completed my first Triathlon in October.
