Yesterday (Saturday) we were surprised by the unexpected visit of Yvice and Namanja. These are the two guys we met when we went out to pick raspberry. They had talked about coming to visit, but it had all been very vague. Yesterday, they showed up about 3pm to spend the rest of the weekend.
It was very cool as they came into town with us and we had the day to wander around Uzice including a second trip up to the Old City.
Namanja on his first visit to the Old City which sits above Uzice. Uzice, sits below with a population of about 70,000 people.
Sunday morning, we did a small church service in our house and this was the first time Namanja had been involved in any type of corporate worship that wasn't associated with the Orthodox church. It was cool to see him open up to talk about God and to experience for the first time what it might look like for him to be a Christian. Yvice seemed to really enjoy having more in-depth conversations with different people. We are praying that they will come back this weekend to spend more time and that Namanja will continue to explore having a personal relationship with God.
