I feel like this race continues to accelerate.  This morning, we were up at 4am to finish packing and got on a shuttle to the airport at 5am.  We caught a flight to Phnom Penn and arrived around 11.  We eventually connected with our airport shuttle and arrived around 1pm.  We all passed out and slept until 4pm when we met our contact for our ministry in Cambodia.  The 2 hour nap was the first time I've slept in a bed in two months.  It wouldn't be quite as excited except that my sleeping pad has developed a slow leak so I blow it up at night, but wake up on the floor in the morning.  Welcome to the World Race.  A friend reminded me I could find the hole and patch it by putting it in a bathtub.  That is great except I haven't seen one of those since July 10th when I left the U.S.  We debated putting it in a river this month, but I wasn't sure I would want to sleep on it after it had been in the water.  I might have picked up a fungus or something.
We will be working with Teen Challenge this month.  It is a ministry started by David Wilkerson in New York City.  He wrote the Cross and the Switchblade which my dad read to my sister and me as kids.  One team will be heading about an hour outside the city to work on a farm that helps men overcome addiction and develop job skills.  Our team will be heading to the suburbs where we will work at a women's home for abused women or with addiction.
It sounds like we will be leading Bible studies, teaching English, and a number of other tasks.  You can pray for our team.  Last month was very challenging on many levels.  We are all very tired and need are hoping for a few days of good rest to recuperate within our new ministry roles.
