Last week was a bit dramatic.  We left ministry in Rwanda and a fantastic month there.  We transitioned to Jinja, Uganda where we were put on new teams.  I will write more on my new team later, but for reference I am now on a team with Kate Hughes, Val Youmans, Sarah Ruplinger, and I still have Becca on my team.  We are now an all girls team which is a new dynamic after being on a mixed team the first six months.

We then had a couple of days of R & R.  If you have facebook, you have seen my rafting pictures and hopefully in the next few days I will get bungee jumping pictures up as well.  Yes, I bungee jumped dipping down into the Nile and went whitewater rafting which nearly led to me drowning in the Nile.  This is one of the reasons why I have the best parents on the planet.  My Christmas present this year consisted of two adrenaline filled, very memorable experiences.  Thanks mom and dad.  You rock!!!!

We have transitioned to ministry in Uganda this week.  We are in Bunamwaya which is a small village about 14 km outside of Kampala, the capital city.  We have no running water, limited electricity, are back to an outhouse, but praise the Lord we have beds this month.  The pastor's family we are living with are spoiling us with great food and amazing hospitality.  We did children's church yesterday, have done door to door evangelism and met with the singles group to encourage them.
This week we will get a better picture of what ministry will look like for the month.  But, thus far life has been really great.
PS:  Anne Moege as the South Dakota Language Arts Teacher of the Year (at least last year) I thought of you the other day:)
