Many of you have asked how you can be praying for me specifically and for our team.  One big prayer request we all have is health.  We have not been a very healthy group since arriving in India.  My first week here I discovered that although I like curry more than I thought I would, my body very much dislikes curry.  Once I figured this out, I’ve been on a curry restricted diet which has helped significantly other than it is rather bland and tasteless.  I eat a LOT of plain white rice.  Delicious:)  I then discovered that either I have the never ending cold or have some serious allergies to the pollution/dust in Bangalore.  I am not the only one.  Most of our team has been suffering from a combination of stomach ailments and/or colds for the better part of the month.

You don’t have to feel too sorry for the guys as their stomach ailments were the result of eating street dog.  Yep, they were invited to a friend’s house where the guy had killed one of the hundreds of stray dogs from the neighborhood and then cooked it for dinner.  I am glad I wasn’t there, as for the experience, I probably would have eaten it too.  But, they were laid up for a few days and are now trying to recover from the experience.
So, physically we are a bit of a mess.  We transition north on Monday which we are hoping will help with some of this.  Monday morning we fly to Delhi.  We’ll then catch a train for only 16 hours (life is all about perspective) to Varanasi.  We then catch a bus for 3 hours to a place we will spend a few days for a mini-debrief before we catch a bus (most likely more than 24 hours) to Nepal on the 14th.  Thanks for your prayers.
