I have a little more than 18 hours before I depart from Mitchell and about 36 hours until I need to catch my first flight out of Minneapolis.  The countdown is on and I'm beginning to feel the pressure setting in.  I still have much to do before I depart (packing seems to be a good idea) and good byes are only growing harder.
But, I do have some fun information to pass along.  On Monday I catch a flight from Minneapolis to St. Louis and then on to New York where I will meet up with other World Racers.  From there, we will catch flights that will eventually land us in Bucharest, Romania.
We will spend our first 4+ days in Bucharest doing some debriefing and final training.  From there, my team will catch a train to…… Uznice, Serbia.  It is funny, but none of the World Race teams will actually be staying in Romania.  A few are headed to Moldova and a couple to Bulgaria and our team is the lone team in Serbia.  We will be partnering with YWAM to impact the city of Uznice.  It will be a lot of outreach and partnering with the ministry there.  From the sound of it, we may have lots of opportunities to do sports outreach with kids.  I'm excited!
The plan right now is that we will be in Serbia until August 16th.  From there, we think we will be heading to the Ukraine, but I guess we will wait and see.  Thanks for your prayers as I wrap up things in the U.S. and hop on planes.
