Yesterday to celebrate the Cambodian New Year. We went to the beach with the women and children from Teen Challenge. It was a unique cultural experience as men either swam in boxers or completely clothed down to button-up shirts and shoes.
Women all wore clothes. We saw people in trucker hats with sweatshirts on. I didn't see a non-Westerner in a swimsuit. The kids had a ball and were pretty impressive in the water. We all wore shorts and shirts with our swimsuits to make sure we were modest enough. We keep being being reminded, "Modest is hottest."
After our outing, I have now been in both sides of the Gulf of Thailand. The water was HOT!!! Thankfully, a giant rainstorm came and we took advantage by pulling out the shampoo and getting the best shower in several days in the rain. It was fun day hanging out and getting to see the country of Cambodia.
