Wow! "Wow" is pretty much the first thought that comes to mind when trying to think about or explain anything from training camp. Nine days felt like three weeks. in the best way possible.
God's freedom was granted and received.
Bonds were formed which can never be broken.
The Y Squad was set on fire for bringing Christ's love to the nations.
I started the trip without any siblings and ended it having gained around 50 new brothers and sisters. God has amazing things planned for our squad. I am so excited to see how He works in us and uses us for His glory over the next 13 months. A spark has been ignited within each of us and is burning to be spread over the world. We are just getting started on this crazy race adventure!!

A few words to describe Training Camp:

The Y Squad decked out in blue (the hottest flame) for a night of squad wars.

Team Wrecked With Love – Melissa, Ryan, Mike, Lacee, & Sarah – my wonderful immediate family for the next year! oh! and our dear friend Miss Piggy, a javelina head.

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified" Isaiah 61: 1-3

For those of you praying over me and my squad, please pray for everyone as they return home for the next two months before launch, that God would continue to give us strength and encouragement. Many of my squad members are not returning home to family and friends who are supportive of their calling to participate in ministry. All prayers are greatly appreciated 🙂
