Finished our first week in Cambodia.  Slums, teaching ESL, and prayer walking on an island.  We had the weekend off…and it was very chill.  On weekends we hunt for our own meals with our budget.  Walking down the road we get a TON of Hello’s!  Sometimes this is still weird to me…very weird.  I think of heading back to the states at the end of May…and I think being “lost” in the crowd sounds really delightful to me.  I really don’t know how actual movie stars live like this.  I may not be as concerned about todays fashion, what’s stuck in my teeth, who’s dating who, or who’s noticing…BUT it is kind of nerving to think that EVERYTHING we do is being watched and analyzed….for the LOVE of!  I hope some ounce of Christ is shining through as we wander to the market or restaurant for some EATS…or if nothing else our footprints are leaving behind a bit of light like that vision I saw in Thailand.  Sometimes it doesn’t feel like we’re making much of a difference…but as a teammate has mentioned Thank Goodness our faith isn’t all about how WE are feeling or if we WANT to worship God…sometimes life is just simply done out of obedience. AMEN.
