So…I've been sick for days…got some meds from the clinic yesterday and am just starting to feel human again. It was an ear infection that somehow brought about a lot of congestion and yuckiness…combined with the altitudes and I was one sick cookie…add the daily rain and hot/cold weather and oye…the sick train was going round'. Many of us also got free B12 shots last night and meds for parasites just in case….that was also an adventure to share at a later date.
My team has been working on construction, plastering, painting, and doing a mini-kid skit/song/talk about Jesus stories time each day etc. Today was the first day back to ministry for me. I cut/out letters and handed them to a teammate. I didn't feel horribly useful but I know that was just the enemy tryin' to beat-up on me…and I've had just about enough with that.
Something SUPER incredible to report on is that I've started writing…dare I say for sure short stories…maybe a hypothetical children's book??? It didn't feel like a particularly restful days off…but in the writing respect at least that was productive.
The church for our ministry is incredible we got to share in a little kiddos b-day, worship in spanish, and our Guatemalan bro Rene' translated his dad's sermon and was MUY COMICO at how he translated! We got a free dinner out of it and all around had a very blessed time.
