One week. How much can happen in one week?
In one week:
•Two young lives from my hometown were ended as a result of drug abuse.
•Two bombs killed three people during a marathon.
•An explosion leaves a Texas town in chaos
•Thousands of young girls in Chiang Mai are selling themselves for $6.00 an hour every night.
And I haven't even scratched the surface of the corruption that takes place in this world…week after week.
You might think hope is lost.
I think people just aren't looking hard enough.
I see hope every day here. I have fallen in love with 8 precious little street kids. Kids who were abandoned, neglected, abused and sold. Kids who have came from a life of nothing. But to see them now, you would never guess.
They have been transformed.
And today, when my teammate and I served many of them communion for the first time in their entire life, I saw hope of a new generation rising up. It was like a spark was ignited inside of them.
Hope was born.
While sitting in my favorite spot, near the little pond at our ministry sight, inspiration hit.
I want to start a movement. A movement of people fighting for each other. A movement of people searching for hope. Hope begins with prayer, so let's pray for each other.
I need your help…
You can start by giving me your prayer request:
•Put it in the comment section of this blog or,
I will be starting a prayer journal where I will keep track of every prayer request I receive.
Share this blog with as many people as you can.
I encourage you to write one similar to this one. The more people we can reach, the more hope we can find.
Not a blogger? Start a group on Facebook, email all of your contacts…
Do whatever you need to do to help start this movement.
I have seen hope.
Stop claiming the world is "hopeless", and do something about it.
