I
am so in love right now.
With
J Squad.
With
squad leading.
With
Jesus.
I
just recently got back from Georgia where I spent a little over a
week at training camp with my group of racers that I will be leading.
J Squad!
This
crazy group of 61 people is the squad that I have the privilege of
leading
out
into the nations in September.
They
are amazing. They are so full of life and joy and faith and power
and love.
And
the Lord has opened my heart to them in such crazy ways.
I
have so much love for each person on the squad,
which
is one reason that I LOVE squad leading.
I
love that right now, my whole job is to
invest
in
pray
with
pour
into
speak
life over
challenge
encourage
love
and
have fun with
this
incredible group of people.
My
time at training camp was exhausting, but every time I felt like I
didn’t have the energy to do anything else, the Lord would fill me
up, usually through my squad. I was getting filled by watching and
being a part of them getting filled.
But
I was also filled just by the presence of Jesus. Man I love Jesus so
much. The presence and power of God was so heavy at training
camp. When 400 people show up in one place, with one desire–just
to meet with Jesus–I’ll tell you, He doesn’t disappoint.
He
loves people who thought they were unlovable.
He
gives freedom to people who have been bound by chains of sin, guilt,
condemnation,
and religion.
He
lifts burdens of the past that people have been carrying for far too
long.
He
heals–hearts and bodies.
He
gives a voice to those who have always been too afraid to speak up.
He
fills people with overwhelming praise and joy that bubbles over into
laughter and dancing.
I
am so in love right now,
with
the people that God has entrusted to me to lead
and
with my Jesus
whose
love and presence fills me
and
overwhelms me
and
is everything I need.
