Month 6 in Nepal has come to a quick close as we prepare to leave for Uganda, Africa for debrief, then it’s off to Rwanda! Time is flying so quickly, it blows my mind! I shared a bit of what we have had the opportunity to be a part of this month in one of my other blogs, but this last week we have had the chance to stay with a family that has made Nepal feel like home. We have been able to participate in a variety of ministries, some of which included helping at a church with youth and women’s bible studies, praying over temples and monasteries, participating in a cottage prayer at a house where brick makers live (They work to make only 200 Nepali rupees per 1,000 bricks! That’s the equivalent of $2.32 USD! Most of them die due to physical exhaustion, it’s extremely sad.), and also had the opportunity to meet up with two women that work for Tiny Hands, an anti-human trafficking organization. They shared that their agency rescues between 150-200 women from being sent across the Nepali border EVERY MONTH! It’s amazing what the Lord is doing through their work!
As this month comes to a close, reminding me that I have now finished a little over half of my Race, I reminisce on how much this experience has changed my life. I’m no longer the person I used to be back in September of 2012, but am a renewed, transformed individual, learning daily about what it means to love as Christ loves, constantly seeking the true definition of what it means to be a Christ follower, understanding more and more of who God really is and who He intends for me to be. The people of the nations have captured my heart and the beauty of the world has forced me to question how much more I could give of myself to the Cause of the Kingdom to bring life to the broken and hope to the hurting.
I know God’s will is for me to finish this Race.
As hard as some days are, I wouldn’t change this experience for anything and I want nothing more than to please my Father in Heaven. The Lord has provided a large portion of my financial needs for this trip, but I’m still $2,411 short to be fully funded. I am believing for financial provision as my final deadline approaches on March 1st! I am forever grateful for all those that have been praying for me and for those that have chosen to be a part of this journey financially!
In order to finish this Race set out before me,
I must raise another
$2,411 in only FIVE days by March 1st!
I’m asking if you would consider partnering with me by making a financial donation of any amount to help me make a difference in the next five countries we will have the opportunity to serve in!
Thank you for your willingness and choice to be a part of this journey! I am SO grateful!!!
