So for the past month I’ve moved back and forth between two houses in Queens
I’ve slept on 6 different beds/couches
I’ve used four different showers
I’ve lived upstairs, the first floor, the basement.
Where I live then influences my schedule.
Sometimes I’m with the mission teams,
sometimes I’m volunteering at my church,
other times I’m ‘on call’ [which is kind of humorous as I live in FAR Rockaway and travel by bus]
Sometimes I find myself walking through
the very Asian neighborhoods of Jackson Heights
[sporting a brightly colored sari I might add]
and other times I’m over at an African Muslim woman’s house for dinner in Brooklyn.
If I’m not already on the World Race,
it’s gotta be the next best thing.
Needless to really say… I’m tired.
If you asked me what I did two days ago, I might have to think really hard
And bringing the gospel to a city like NY is a big lengthyyyyy process
God is absolutely in the midst of doing great things here.
I see it in the tiny church that is forming in the front yard
of the beach house in Rockaway. 14 people attended the first gathering.
It’s in the masses that come to Hillsong church
every Sunday evening and worship in indescribable unity
I see it in the teenage girls that I have the privilege
to influence every Sunday morning in Woodhaven. They’re hungry for more purpose.
It’s in the face of the Muslims who have denied Jesus again and again,
yet they are curious about him.
I could go on and on about everything..
But I’m only halfway through this journey
and God is still doin' His thing.
And seeds are taking root all over the place.
I get the feeling that the World Race will include
a LOT of seed planting (in others & me)
and watering (in others & me)
and patience.. for the harvest to take place. (in others and in me)

1 Corinthians 3:6-7 "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth."
