Training is complete! Thank you for all of the prayers and patience as I have been getting ready to go on the mission field. My journey started at a hotel beside Atlanta International where we had our mission launch. There I said goodbye to my parents and began a journey for my Savior. We then took a bus to Gainesville Georgia and began our actual training. There my days have been filled with sessions of information, encouragement, and team building. Learning how to share the gospel in other cultures that may not receive the information the same way western nations do. We also have been doing physical activities to make sure our bodies are ready for any hardship that we might encounter on the field. It rained the first week of training camp and we are living out of a tent while we are here. So clean clothes and being dry was a blessing for the first week. I keep reminding myself that in my discomfort I am trying to worship my creator. When I make small sacrifices, like comfort, they are for His gospel and kingdom! Pray for me that I could continue to worship Him in whatever circumstances or discomfort I am in.

Now that training is complete we are headed for our first country which is Nicaragua! There we will be working for the AIM (Adventures in Missions) base. We will be working as a squad in our first country which is made up of 36 young missionaries. The squad is then broken into smaller teams of 5-8 people. My team is made up of all men and is called Mt. Valor. My team information is on the left side of the main page of my blog. We decided to be team valor because we wanted to be strong like mountain men but have valor like David’s mighty men. Pray that God can use us this year as we continue working to win Him souls and transform lives in His name!
