I wanted to send out a quick update for my squad and what we are doing these next few days. Right now I am sitting in the Bangkok airport waiting to get on a plane back to the States. The World Race has decided to call back all workers from the field due to the current COVID-19 outbreak. So with a heavy heart my teammates and I are ending our race early and coming home.
But God is just moving us from one mission field to another. For a few months now my heart has been heavy for the church in America. I have prayed that God would start moving and show people the treasure that is His son, and that our country would put Jesus above any other desire. I just messaged my Grandfather the other day and said how it has been hard to see the worship of idols that are just wood and stone in the countries I have visited. To see people worship a creation of their own hands instead of their Creator. And he replied “The biggest idol here (America) is self.” Ain’t that the truth. But God loves the people in America so much! He cares for us even when we don’t choose Him. So I know that I don’t have to worry about this new mission field I am entering, because God is already working there.
Pray for my squad as we go through culture shock, jet lag, and even loneliness when we return home. Pray that God makes my mission for Him clear and that His church flourishes in America.
In this big mix of emotions I am also ecstatic to return home. I cannot wait to see all of you and tell you what God has done in my life and what He is doing around the world! Thank you to all of you for supporting me in so many different ways and keeping me on your mind all the time!
